Scratch Builders Workbench I am taking a break from the Pine Creek Railroad and N scale for this project. Our NRMA Division Meet contest for May was cabooses. I decided that I would like to build a entry. I kicked around a few ideas and was not excited about any of them. Then came the June issue of Model Railroader Magazine. There was a scratch built "Milwaukee Road" transfer caboose featured in one of the articles. I knew as soon as I saw it that it was the project that I was looking for. Checked my material and parts inventory and I had everything that I need to build the caboose. Doing a little more research I found a prototype picture of an original "Milwaukee Road" transfer caboose. Using the MR article and the prototype photo I went to work.
